Description: | Clustered, multiple stemmed palm with trunks 2 m x 16 cm, at times branching above the ground; leaves 9-10 per head, spirally arranged, palmate; petiole with saw-like teeth, 50-62 cm long x 1.1-1.3 cm wide, adaxially channeled and abaxially rounded; leaflets 28-32, the middle ones 51-63 cm long x 3.2-3.4 cm wide; inflorescence androgynous, the peduncle 17-27 cm long, 1.7-2 cm wide and 1-1.4 cm thick, the rachis 40-63 cm long, primary branches 5-8 measuring 10-15 cm long at the apex and 17-31 cm long at the base; fruits black, 2 cm long and 1.5 cm in diameter. |
