Currently Accepted Name:Tephrosia chrysophylla Pursh
Locality:USA. Florida. Marion Co.: S side of FL 316, 5.1 mi. W of Salt Springs. 29º 22’ 6” N 81º 48’ 22” W
Description:Many plants at this site with leaflets glabrous above, but some with leaflets either pale or tawny appressed antrorse pubescent above, most with 7 or fewer leaflets, many plants thus appear more similar to Tephrosia chrysophylla in general habit; probably a highly variable hybrid swarm of Tephrosia chrysophylla X T. mysteriosa; although this specimen looks like typical T. chrysophylla, it may actually be a hybrid or contain some hybrid genetics because it was found at this site.
Habitat:Very small, disturbed, open, low sandy knoll; beige sand.
