Description:Shrub to 2 m; leaves densely pubescent on both sides, petioles pubescent; corolla tube 2 cm, corolla 2.5 cm wide, scarlet red; stamens exserted 2.0-2.5 cm from corolla tube; fruit 0.7 mm wide. 
Habitat:In rockland hammock, in center of hammock.
