Description Occasional scattered annual herb; flowers yellow, fallen by afternoon.
Habitat Disturbed, shallow (2-14 cm) dark loamy clay with gravel over dolomite 'pavement' bedrock; mesic to dry-mesic dolomite; disturbed prairie, with Malvastrum hispidum, Sporobolus vaginiflorus, Isanthus brachiatus, Ambrosia artemisiifolia, and Leptoloma cognatum [Digitaria cognata].
