| Description | Ligule absent; leaf sheath summit membranous, hyaline, leaf blade midrib abaxially prominent, ridge-like; spikelet peduncle scabridulous, especially distally; spikelets 2.5-4.5 mm long, 1-1.3 mm wide, florets bisexual, subtended by a single scale, scales 5-10, not appearing distichous or scarcely so, florets loosely overlapping; scale loosely hooded around floret, not strongly compressed, 0.7-1 mm wide (margin to margin), 1-1.2 mm long, hyaline margin 0.2-0.5 mm wide, the medial part starkly green with a single midvein; anthers 2, greenish yellow, immature, 0.7-1 mm long; style 0.6 mm long, light green, stigmas 3-parted, 0.7 mm long, orange-brown, minutely papillate; achene strongly trigonous, pale, immature, 1 mm long, 0.5 mm wide. |
