Description Uncommon, perennial, mat-forming herb 6 cm tall; stem slender and smooth; leaves opposite, orbicular to broadly ovate, with short petioles, margins entire; flowers purple, small solitary on stalks, lower lip 3-lobed; calyx free to base.
Habitat Disturbed edge of pond; with Dichondra caroliniensis, Bacopa monnieri, and Hydrocotyle bonariensis, along with several grasses and sedges.
