Habitat Mesic hardwood hammock; community dominated by mixed hardwoods, along with Carex godfreyi, C. chapmannii, Chasmanthium nitidum, C. laxum, and Rhynchospora mixta. Soils - Pamlico (Terric Medisaprists).
