Description Common herbaceous perennial prostrate in a dense mat; stem pubescens; leaves with 3 entire leaflets, surfaces sparsely pubescent, margins and petiole pubescent; flowers purple; corolla small, pea-shaped; loments 3-5 segmented.
Habitat Disturbed open area along the edge of mesic flatwoods; associates include Iva microcephala, Euthamia caroliniana, and several grasses.
