Locality USA. Florida , Sarasota Co. : Along both sides of the Cow Pen Slough Canal, ca. 0.1 mi. S of the boundary between sections 3 and 10, and 0.6 mi. E of the Bee Ridge Road Extension. T37S, R19E, Sec. 10.
Description Naturalized; flowers purple-tinged on outside; fruit orange, easily peeled, very sour; scattered to locally common; a number of young trees and seedlings noted.
Habitat Understory of cattle disturbed hammock dominated by Quercus virginiana, Q. laurifolia, and Sabal palmetto.
