Locality USA. Washington , Chelan Co. : In Entiat Canyon, 18 mi., from mouth. 47° 40' 33" N 120° 12' 30" W
Description Plants firmly attached to, and readily pulling up by the extensively branched, but more fleshly than fibrous roots; stems glabrate to spreading pubescent; sepals from nearly white or pale blue to lavender to fairly deep blue, narrow, the spur 2x as long as blade of upper sepal; lower petals mostly similar in color to sepals or a little lighter, cleft nearly half of length; upper petals somewhat lighter, all four prominently purplish-veined; follicles scarcely at all divergent.
Habitat In sandy soil along dry wash and under yellow pines.
