Locality Mexico. Veracruz On gravel pile on vehicle pulloff; MEX 180 (toll road), 24 km by road N of Veracruz, S of José Cardel, 1.8 km N of Río Antigua. 19° 19' 60" N 96° 19' 60" W
Description Ruderal weed; whole plant glandular-pubescent, sticky; stems erect, 4.9-13.4 dm tall, sparsely branched; petals darkish lemon yellow, claws and sepal bases suffused with maroon; anthers dark bluish-green; [Cytol. Material collected].
Habitat Weedy grassy roadside thickets in cut-over forest remnant, now mostly pastures, with Cnidoscolus aconitifolius, Cassia sp., Bursera simarouba, Jatropha gossypiifolia, and Martynia annua.
