Locality Panama. Canal Zone Prov. Open weedy clay of construction area 1 km S of Madden Dam.
Description Small tree 8 m tall; the whole tree a mass of flowers, the bract very pale green, appearing white, corolla and filaments white; the flowers with strong sweet fragrance, something like Syringa vulgaris.
Habitat At edge of secondary tropical moist forest.
