Locality Puerto Rico. Maricao Mun. : Bo. Maricao Afuera, near antennas along PR 120, 3 km (by air) SSW of Maricao. 18° 8' 60" N 66° 59' 30" W
Description Ca. 10 m tall; common, forming tangles and scrambling to 6 m high or more, the stems often not reaching the ground, the plant with numerous hanging roots which root in the ground; wood and inner bark reddish; sap slow, scant, first milky, then orange; very little fertile material, all in bud.
Habitat Ridgetop forest, on serpentine.
