Description | Small tree 9 m tall, 14 cm in diameter; bark smooth, tan; plant, especially the fruits, with a resinous aromatic odor, somewhat like that of Anacardiaceae or Burseraceae; fruit green, turning light orange, some beginning to open, capsular, revealing bright red-orange aril over the seeds, reminiscent of Trichilia in the Meliaceae. |
