Bulbostylis ciliatifolia (Elliott)Fernald
CAPILLARY HAIRSEDGE
**
Bulbostylis ciliatifolia var. coartcata (or B. coarctata) is considered a perennial (to annual in the north), which Kral (1971) "found it impossible to consider both [ciliatifolia and coarctata] as the same entity, but at the same time cannot avoid realizing the morphological closeness of the two". Other diagnostic characters for B. ciliatifolia var. coarctata include an inflorescence usually compound and of many, oblong or lance-linear spikelets with the longest bract of the inflorescence longer than the inflorescence, and edges of leaves usually distinctly tuberculate-scabrid.
