Description:Shrub, 2.5 m tall (after 4 seasons); a pistillate plant with deep maroon petals. 
Habitat:In light shade; soils fine textured.
Notes:CULTIVATED. Purchased as a young plant from Possibility Place Nursery, Monee, Illinois; Said to have been grown from seed collected locally.
