Habitat:In understory in drier areas, with Taxodium bases in wet areas; swamp hydric hammock, ca. 0.5 ft. of water in places; dominated by Taxodium ascendens - Nyssa biflora; with Acer rubrum, Itea virginica, Myrica cerifera, Toxicodendron radicans, Saururus cernuus, Quercus laurifolia, Ilex cassine, Vaccinium ashei [corymbosum], Serenoa repens, Woodwardia virginica, Tillandsia bartramii, and Liquidambar styraciflua.
