Description: | Abundant; eglandular except lower-most phyllaries; mostly (at least glutinous) glandular-ciliate at base; the inner broadly scarious, reminiscent of Chrysopsis [Pityopsis] graminifolia, but eglandular; style branch stipitate glandular. |
Habitat: | Open, gently rolling Pinus clausa scrub with Quercus geminata, Q. chapmanii, Q. myrtifolia, Lyonia ferruginea, Serenoa repens, Sabal etonia, Balduina angustifolia, shrubby Ilex, Liatris laevigata, Persea humilis [P. borbonia var. humilis], Bejaria racemosa, Polygonella polygama, Garberia fruticosa [G. heterophylla], and occasional longleaf pine [Pinus palustris]; grassy openings. |
