Description:Frequent; pales attenuate; leaves less than 5 cm, open expanded, with primary leaves on the stems lacking; pubescence appressed. 
Habitat:Open, shrubby pinewoodland with limestone outcrops and solution holes.

Description:Erect stem, 1-2 ft. tall; leaves with spines (very rough to skin); flowers white with black stamens.
