Description:Scarce small shrub 1-1.5 m tall, young fruit, just past flowering; leaves immature, no aroma; 3-5 shrubs, somewhat clonal. 
Habitat:Pocosin-like floodplain forest, Chamaecyparis, Ilex; clear-running stream over muck and sand; with Lyonia, Acer.
