Description:Low, almost mound-like bushy-branched shrubs 3.1-6.0 dm tall; foliage lightly fragrant, like sweet turpentine; corolla white, funnelform-tubular; flowers medium green loweer two-thirds, dark green apical third; common. 
Habitat:Low gravelly hills and river valley; arid low rocky hills W of river; grazed desert to open crassicaulis matorral, dominated by Cephalocereus hoppenstedtii and spiny mimosoid legumes, with Yucca periculosam Beaucarnea gracilis, Achtinocheita filicina, Juliana adstringens, Jatropha neopauciflora, Malpighia galeottiana, Echinopteris lappula, Lippia graveeolous.
