Description:Locally common, forming dense thickets; rosette plant spreading by rhizomes, primary branches of erect inflorescence axia collected, fruit with a mealy, dull white coating. 
Habitat:Cliff overhanging beach; dense low forest behind beach, open mangrove along quebrada, pasture at base of peak and deciduous forest on slopes.
