Description:Very rare, slow-growing tree with rough, dark brown, persistent bark; leaves ovate-lanceolate, long-pointed; fruit goblet-shaped, ca. 0.5 in. across, the capsule much sunk; the fruit not angular, the lid not warty, as long as or longer than the calyx tube. 
Habitat:Disturbed hammock area; fairly rich soil.
