Description:Flowers white, on tall narrow branches; local perennial herb 2 m tall, 1-2 loments per fruit; with Liatris, Cassia fasciculata. 
Habitat:Powerline clearing along road; disturbed periodically wet sandy clay-loam; open savanna and old field areas, roadside, dominated by Juniperus virginiana, Prunus serotina, Quercus imbricaria, Acer negundo, Eupatorium spp., Lespedeza spp., Schizachyrium scoparium, Festuca pratensis.
