Habitat: | Dry, mixed hardwood and coniferous forest dominated by Quercus laurifolia, Cornus florida, Prunus caroliniana, Quercus maritima [Q. laurifolia], Carya glabra, Juniperus [virginiana], Ximenia [americana], Sabal, Prunus serotina, Liquidambar [styraciflua], Pinus clausa, and abundant Dioscorea floridana; in soil of ca. equal parts fine sand and organic material. |
