Habitat: | Under canopy of low, wet hardwood forest dominated by Magnolia virginiana, Carpinus, Nyssa, Quercus laurifolia, and Acer, in association with such species as Itea, Saururus, Woodwardia areolata, Hydrocotyle verticillata, Thelypteris dentata, T. torresiana [Macrothelypteris torresiana], and Boehmeria, in an area of ground water seepage. |
