Habitat: | Sandy openings in extensive Pinus clausa scrub with many young pines and a rather dense shrub cover of Lyonia ferruginea, L. lucida, glaucous Serenoa repens, Quercus geminata, Q. chapmanii, Bejaria racemosa, Persea humilis [P. borbonia var. humilis], Ceratiola, and Osmanthus megacarpus [Cartrema floridana]; also with Rhynchospora megalocarpa, Galactia elliottii, and Smilax auriculata. |
