Description:Dominant. 
Habitat:High hillside seepage bogs; geology - Tuscaloosa formation, cretaceous, below Eutaw formation; very boggy black peaty areas on 30% slope, with Drosera capillaris, Eleocharis tuberculosa, Fuirena squarrosa, Lycopodium appressum, Rhynchospora gracilenta, Sarracenia rubra, Sabatia macrophylla, and Xyris difformis var. curtissii.
