Description: | Climbing/trailing among Smilax spp. and Ampelopsis arborea, the stem waxy, light green, brown and semi-woody at base, with short fluffy white trichomes on leaves and stem, and with sticky, white sap with a pungent scent; leaves heart-shaped, 4.5 cm long; flowers sweet-smelling, white, the sepals long, the bottom set with purple tips; the center petals are bent up towar center to surround fused reproductive structures. |
Habitat: | Under cabbage palms [Sabal palmetto] on edge of palm hammock. |
