Description:Canopy tree 22 cm diameter at breast height; bark gray, smooth. 
Habitat:In mature-phase evergreen forest on alluvium over limestone.

Locality:Mexico. Jalisco. 1 km W of El Divisadero (1 km W of Villa Guerrero), 18 km ESE of Tomatlan; Vicinity of La Palomita, ca. 25 km ESE of Tomatlan; region of "bosque tropical subdeciduo" (Rzedowski and McVaugh 1966). 19º 53’ N 105º 5’ W
Description:Big tree with 2 cm diameter one-seeded, aendospermous fruits, ground and dried forsoffee, served with canella and sugar; fruit coat also eaten. 
Habitat:Mature uncut Hura polyandra-Brosimum alicastrum-Bursera (Simaruba?)-Ficus-etc. seasonally dry tropical subdeciduous forest, to 35 m tall and 1 m diameter at breast height, with Pharus, small Ziniberaceae, Acanthaceae, etc. in understory; weeds in pasture; small trees in forest remnants.
