Habitat: | Near shore [of creek in] open wooded low knoll with mature Pinus clausa overstory, understory apparently cleared in recent years; young growth of Quercus geminata, Q. chapmanii, Osmanthus megacarpus, Ilex ambigua, Vitis rotundifolia, Serenoa repens, Persea, and Myrica with occasional carya glabra var. megacarpa [= C. glabra], Quercus incana, and longleaf pine [Pinus palustris]; Baccharis halimifolia, Rhus copallinum, Callicarpa americana, and persimmon [Diospyros virginiana] as scattered weeds. |
