Description: | Covering ca. 70-80% of the 700 acrea area; abundant beds of floating plants with inflated, decumbent and glabrous stems rooting at the nodes, producing erect, sparsely hirsute stems with emergent leaves and flowers; aquatic leaves glabrous with midribs sparsely hirsute, the upper emergent leaves narrowly elliptic, sparsely hirsute, the hairs denser along lower mid-vein, the tips glandular mucronate; peduncle 21(28) mm long, the sepals 5, 1.2 mm long, petals (13.5)15(16) mm long, the hypanthium 8(9) mm, densely hirsute. |
