Description:Several clumps to 3 m tall; bark smooth, gray; fruit greenish yellow. 
Habitat:Open, gently rolling Pinus clausa scrub, with Quercus geminata, Q. chapmanii, Q. myrtifolia, Lyonia ferruginea, Serenoa repens, Sabal etonia, Balduina angustifolia, shrubby Ilex, Liatris laevigata [L. tenuifolia var. quadriflora], Persea humilis [P. borbonia var. humilis], Bejaria racemosa, Polygonella polygama, Garberia fruticosa, and occasional longleaf pine [Pinus palustris].

Description:2 large, multi-trunked clumps (both female), the tallest ca. 20 ft. tall, the largest trunk ca. 7.5 in. diameter breast height; a third clump which was taller and had a trunk with a diameter greater than the above was destroyed ca. 1973 during local construction activities. 
Habitat:Well-drained white sand soil in cleared lot.

Description:Slender treelet 4.5 m tall, 4.2 cm in diameter, ca. 7 years old, bark tight; inflorescence mostly with only buds, a few open pale yellow-green flowers. 
Habitat:Neary flat, sandy scrub forest, dominated by Pinus, with Serenoa repens, Quercus spp., ilex opaca var. anenicola, and Lyonia ferruginea.
Reproductive State:Bud

Notes:Voucher for wood specimens at Kw, Lw, MADw, MEXUw, RSAw.
