Description:Uncommon throughout preserve; perennial herb, ca. 15 cm tall; stem with gray trichomes; leaves alternate, linear to elliptic, pale green with midrib prominent beneath; flowers yellow with 5 petals in elongate panicles. 
Habitat:Slash pine [Pinus elliottii] scrub, in sandy, well-lit patches; with Serenoa repens, Cladonia sp., Quercus geminata, and Lyonia ferruginea.
